A Modernized Brand Identity with Styleguide Document

FR Secure's brand needed a facelift to better represent its cutting edge cyber security services. The logomark and marketing collateral felt template-y, which didn't align with the company's tailored security solutions.

In order to refine both the brand visuals and messaging, I partnered with FR's in-house marketing team to define customer's needs and priorities.

Since the original logo wasn’t terrible, I started by exploring some minor tweaks to see if a full redesign was truly necessary. After seeing these concepts, FR realized they were ready for a bigger change.

My initial explorations centered around finding a meaningful symbol and modern typeface options. The Rook was a fast favorite, with its combination of both security and strategy symbolism.

The selected design featured a custom shield + rook symbol with a shaded dimensional effect. To accommodate various printing / production needs, an outline version of the logo was created for added flexibility.
